Jess: The only complaint I have about these books is that I started them before the series was done. These books are absolutely breathtaking. Karigan, the heroine, is one of those few characters I could totally relate to. Granted, I don't have a horse that can think on its own, a magical pin that makes me disappear or jump through time, or hold the heart of a king, but she's sort of just an average girl thrown into things.

Britain seems to steer clear of every cliché and creates the most masterful story. I can't exactly pinpoint what separates this book from the others in its genre, but I know its good. Another one of my all-time favorites, so much so that I actually read it twice (I never do that- and naturally I loved it all over again). If you haven't read this series yet, do it, regardless of the fact its incomplete. I have yet to meet a person who didn't love these books.  5/23/05
